On so for the next few weeks I have to blog for my graduate seminar. Like for a grade. They're making use wordpress (which I hate) but whatever. You can read about my daily, graded posts at DCmuseums.wordpress.com. My blogging style is obviously very casual - I was once told I write exactly like I speak, but that's all thanks to my lack of editing. Anywho... Enjoy the nerdiness.

I'm walking home from the bar. Alone. Luis has to work tomorrow so he (had better be) asleep. It's extremely difficult to find a good balance when hanging out with single girlfriends. Especially at a bar. I figure when you've already superfluously told guys your fiancé can beat them up AND you realize you're sitting basically alone, you should probably head home. I love my friends -never has there been a kinder or more supportive group of people. I just don't want to be the blonde cock blocker @KissingDisasters is going to post about. Hopefully my single friends will soon become couple friends and then all my problems will be solved.

Though if I don't have single friends how will I get awesome photos like these?!

Sometimes I call our dog Finley by the name of my canine soul mate, Riley.  And my heart breaks every time.  Every. Single. Time.  

This was the freaking cherry on the sundae after a rough day at work, rougher semester, and no Luis, Lauren, or Mom to come home to.  Luckily I have what that little ball of fluff has grown into - a loving, misbehaving, sweet Fin who rarely listens and always cuddles.

I think I may need an actual sundae to help with this one.  Luckily the inFinerator is my ice-cream buddy and he'll be happy to oblige.  By the way, he doesn't mind if I call him Riley.  Puppies are so forgiving.  Bless his heart.

Delay due to Harry Potter

This is super old.  and I'm not sure why I never posted it.  This has the best picture of my sister and me since we were in keds and biking shorts.  Enjoy.

To my four readers:

I'm sorry for the serious lack of blogging.  I had to take a semi-imprompto ( <-- is that even close to how you actually spell that word?!) trip to Florida to pick up the last of my crap/furniture and visit my fictional boyfriend, Harry Potter.  Lauren and I spent all of Wednesday at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Orlando thanks to the sweet annual passes we splurged for last October during my mom's birthday weekend extravaganza.  It was heavenly - we rode only the rides we love (The Mummy, Men in Black, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, etc.) and taking AWESOME photos like the one below.

Thank you to the sweet British tourists for taking this awesome (personal) photo for us.... and making the Harry Potter section of the park THAT much more realistic.  

Seriously, if you can send me a better family-at-a-theme-park-photo, I'll send a virtual high five your way.

  

After packing my car to the gills I headed back to Virginia... crying for a solid half hour and then sporadically after that for the 11 hour drive.  I did not enjoy leaving my sister, my friends, or the town that was my home for almost five years (almost longer than anywhere else!) 

I'm back to WeddingWorld and being suffocated by the pile of unaddressed Save-the-Dates that arrived while I was away.  I have been anxious to get these out to people, but mostly because I want to share some of the great photos my (super)mom took after our photographer failed to show up... but that's a story for another day post.  Enjoy a few (personal) engagement shoot bloopers while you wait...

Sorry y'all.  I'm a terrible blogger.  (But a worse student!  Yay for failing my first class ever!)
